What is Naturopathic Medicine?

Naturopathic medicine is a primary healthcare that is built on the foundational belief that the body has an innate capacity to repair and adapt. Naturopathic doctors are educated and trained in accredited naturopathic medical colleges. They diagnose, prevent, and treat acute and chronic illness to restore and establish optimal health by supporting the person's inherent self-healing process.

Naturopathic medicine emphasizes addressing the causes of disease and there is a focus on physical, mental, emotional, environmental and social factors that may be contributing to a person’s state of being.

INITIAL CONSULTATIONS

Seeing an ND for the first time is similar to seeing an MD as all primary care providers review health history and request standard diagnostic tests.

Your initial consultation will involve an in-depth gathering of information regarding your chief concerns and health history. A physical exam may be performed and labs may be recommended to guide your treatment plan. An individualized treatment plan will be created, catered directly to your needs.

FOLLOWUP CONSULTATIONS

These are used to track progress around your health journey and address new concerns. Modalities that may be involved in your treatment plan include Acupuncture, B12 injections, Pharmaceuticals, Nutraceuticals, MIC Injections, IV Iron Therapy, Injection therapy, IV nutrient therapy, Neural Therapy, Menopause Hormone Therapy, Clinical Nutrition and Lifestyle Counselling and lab testing/re-testing.
